July 2013 - Read through of "Wife After Death" by Eric Chappell (our November Production) will be on Monday July 8th with auditions on Thursday 11th at The United Church (a week later than previously stated). This is a very funny play with a cast of 2 men and 4 women, (and a body of course).

November 2013 - "Wife After Death" a comedy by Eric Chappell – directed by Gary Field, very funny. More news and dates later.

Jan/Feb 2014 - Pantomime - To be decided. Any suggestions? Want to direct? Contact us

May 2014 - "Taking Steps" – by the wonderful Alan Ayckbourn and probably to be directed by Debbie Lock. We want to perform this in the round which will be a real challenge to the actors as it is a farce with lots of (imagined) stairs !!! – sounds really good fun.

We are always looking for suggestions from members for play readings and offers to direct plays of your own choice. Plenty of help is always available if you haven't directed before. Contact us with your ideas.

Exclusive Print Offer

When we came back from Canada, Rey Baecher gave us 10 prints of a picture of The Tithe Barn which he has done from a photograph. Rey is a very talented artist and generously, he wants us to sell the prints and use the profits for FDS. The attached is a photo of the picture, which is about 14” x 12” in size, portrait style and comes unframed. Would anyone like to buy a print at the cost of £12.00 (FDS members £8.00)?
