Drama group hit the spot

FARINGDON Dramatic Society have come away from a local drama festival with high honours.

The Society entered its production of 'Magic' by Richard Harris in the one-act play festival run by Oxfordshire Drama Network at the Unicom Theatre, Abingdon, in June.

The play was so well received by the adjudicator that he chose the Faringdon entry as one of the three best plays to be repeated on the last night of the Festival. This was particularly satisfying to the Faringdon group, as the adjudicator had not seen all the other entrants when he made this selection.

Faringdonians will be able to see 'Magic' and three other playlets, which comprise Richard Harris's hospital Drama 'Visiting Hour' on November 2 and 3 in the Com Exchange. This will be the Society's first production since breaking away from the Faringdon Community Association, and is considered particularly suitable for performance in the Com Exchange.
