Friday evening "Great, fun filled show"
We thought the performance was really good. The music/singing was excellent – the beast in particular! I struggled to hear Belle on a couple of occasions and felt that she didn’t own the role as much as she has done in previous shows. However this did not in any way spoil the show. We thought the younger cast did extremely well, especially the squirrel! Only negative was – it was a bit cold in the hall, great show and well done everyone. Thank you.

Saturday matinée "A fab fun afternoon’s entertainment"
This is as the first FDS production we have attended and we weren’t disappointed! The acting, singing and dancing were top notch and it was lovely to see a range of ages represented in the company. The production, front of house and organisation were very professional. Bella-Storm and Matthew really stood out for their fantastic vocals. Can’t wait to come to another FDS performance soon!

This showstopping performance was extremely good. The singing was amazing and the whole cast really brought energy to the production. My daughter wants to go see it again but it's all sold out!!

Saturday matinée "Fantastic Family Fun!!!"
This is the fourth pantomime production that we’ve seen. It was just superb. It’s great to see the breadth of ages involved on stage. The acting was great with well made costumes. The lighting and sound complemented the production so well. The band were great; I never thought I would hear Radiohead at a pantomime! Very well done everyone!

Sunday matinée "Colourful and full of energy"
I took my 5 and 1 year old to all the matinee performances. FDS is a really great company for allowing children of all ages to enjoy the fun. My 1 year old was more engaged when we sat at the front. They enjoyed the music and seeing the band up close and the show was perfect length without too longer scenes. The beast was amazing and although imposing was played in a great way as to not scare the children too much. It felt at times there were too many people on stage and you couldn't see everyone's reactions. We loved Phillipe as an equestrian woman I was surprised how realistic he was when he was just standing around bobbing his head, just like horses do! Thanks for a great show can't wait until next year!

Sunday matinée "Fun for all the family"
This is our third year coming to the pantomime; the adults and young children all enjoy it. This year was no exception. There were some brilliant song choices (like Creep sung by The Beast, and my favourite was Lionel Richie's Hello sing by the toilet), and the costumes were very impressive. The door and shop staff were also really helpful and very patient! I didn't catch every line in the show, and I think the audience needed a bit more direction as I think we were missing some of our cues, but we still had a great time and will be back next year. We highly recommend the pantomime, and I feel very lucky that we have such an active AmDram group in Faringdon.

I've seen the show twice now and both times were magical. The story drew me into the show, the acting & singing is amazing. Matthew who played the beast, his solo made the hairs on my neck stand up, what a voice! There's lots of laughs, bad jokes, etc as there should be in a panto. Casting was spot on. The lighting, music, costumes, scenery and the slick backstage crew meant the panto ran smoothly. Congratulations to everyone involved.

I loved it all – especially the performances of: Philip the horse, the squirrel, the toilet, and the young chorus who were having a ball singing and dancing. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and it made me glad to live in Faringdon! The only off moments for me were the way the sound switched from natural speaking, which I could hear well, and the over amplified – or something – singing when I couldn't understand the words and the sound was very odd. Some really good acting throughout. The set was fine though a bit underwhelming, and the costumes were fabulous.

All aspects of this performance were amazing. We thought that all the children performed really well and obviously enjoyed the whole experience. Farington Dramatic Society never fails to amaze us with their performances. Well done to all involved!!

Friday evening "Very entertaining amateur pantomime"
Reasonable performances all round with an exceptional performance by the lead lady and the young child that played the squirrel. In the first half some of the jokes were quick and not enunciated clearly enough to be heard properly. Aside from this singing and acting was good and the backing band did a excellent job.

What a wonderful pantomime. A feast for the eyes with the most amazing costumes. A chorus where everyone played their part to the full and some exceptionally good performances, not least Matthew Warner as the Beast himself. I came away smiling. Thank you FDS.

It's been a while since seeing a panto, and this production was just excellent. The song selection and performances of said songs were spot on. Particularly the Duet with Matthew (Beast) and Bella (Belle). It's also great to see so many kids involved in the production and putting on an equally good show as the adults. All round great job from all the actors, musicians and behind the scenes peeps at FDA. Keep up the great work!

Came to both of the Saturday Evening performances. Excellent costumes and good singing. Some of the humour fell flat and needed more audience prompting and participation. Loved the traditional pantomime horse but ghost scenes in particular were lost.
Pan candelarbra and toilet especially singing Hello very good. Delightful animal costumes for the children and some great scenes for the majority of the cast. Hugh very funny and of course a mention for mamma Kaye who just loves a dress and make up! Great band…not too loud! And a mention to all behind the scenes for their input to this production. Looking forward to seeing another FDS production in the future.

Brilliant vocals. Excellent cast setting. Absolutely loved the rose! We could hear the main characters well, however, at times there were some background noises, but this didn’t take away from the show. Belle & Beast did extremely well & I loved the squirrel! The band was well directed and the song choice was as unexpected and a great way! Surprisingly good costumes for an amateur production. The story line was interesting and of a fair length. This is the 4th FDS panto I have seen and in my opinion the best so far! Looking forward to future production! Well done to everyone involved!
This version of ‘Beauty and the Beast’ is a brand new and original pantomime written and directed by FDS’s own Bex Hutchings. She came up with the idea driving home during last years panto rehearsals, a single song sparked the flame for the entire show!
