Friday evening "Perfect Panto"
An absolutely brilliant show. The cast were fantastic, great singing and acting. The music, sound, lighting all excellent too. A special mention to all those involved in costumes, in particular how the evil fairy echoed the good fairies’ costumes but in a dark sinister way. Loved it!

Brilliant performance by the cast of Sleeping Beauty. They had the audience in fits of laughter and it was a thoroughly enjoyable performance. The costumes were fantastic and there were some really strong voices on the stage! You should all be so proud of yourselves, you smashed it!!

This was a really great performance, we really enjoyed it. Definitely coming next year with Grandkids. Absolutely brilliant for an Am Dram production. Definitely worth taking the kids next week. And the snack options in the interval were very very reasonable. Normally you end up spending more on snacks than the ticket.

This was the best panto! Very good audience interaction – unintentionally found myself shouting, singing, clapping and booing at every opportunity!
Family came from Cardiff to watch and had an amazing time. Upbeat songs and fabulous acting. Fantastic cast, musicians and production team. Well done to all involved.

Thought it was all well organised and timings flowed. Band were excellent, cast were brilliant, king was hilariously funny, some very talented cast members! Perfect length of show with excellent musical performances. A big shout out to Bex and Verity… awesome performances as king and queen. Loved the gay fairy too! Splitting the yorn in cereal's fantastic two thumbs up for the cast of Sleeping beauty loved everything from being to the end great story. I washed others could see it.

A really good performance, good length for the kids, however my little girl was a bit upset as she couldn’t really see properly – this isn’t the fault of the pantomime, the untiered seating in the venue was the issue – an idea for future, perhaps a way to seat people with young kids near the front? This absolutely shouldn’t take away from the performance just a bit of constructive feedback. Also thought the sets could have been a little bit more imaginative was mainly just coloured lights and projecting windows onto a white backdrop, again though this could have been venue and cost limitations.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the show. The lead actors gave very convincing performances and were ably assisted by the supporting cast. The singing was strong, benefiting from good amplified sound. The only comment I would make for any similar production where rotating LED lights are used is to ensure that as they scan they don't flash in to the eyes of the audience. That's all folks!

Length just right…slightly shorter interval possibly? Loved the humour and we laughed so much at Dotty….what a great actress she is! ….but there was lots more great acting from others too. We thought Kitty was a real asset to the show. The band were spot on and we liked the singing. Thank you for a very enjoyable evening.

We had a brilliant evening watching the 2023 cast perform Sleeping Beauty. Lots of current songs incorporated into the show, which we could all sing along to. King Nobby's song and dance with Queen Dotty had us in stitches and was panto at its best. Well done to everyone involved – a brilliant show, and as always, loved the live band. My only comment is that the blue lighting* that came on for the baddie, really affected my eyes for some random reason! – I couldn't watch that bit, but it didn't affect my overall enjoyment of the show. Already looking forward to next years production. Keep up the brilliant work FDS! Also, one last shout out to the costumes designers, the outfits were brilliant. *(Sorry about the lighting Lucie, there was a temporary malfunction during that evening.)

Saturday matinée "Utterly Amazing"
I attended two matinees with friends and family. A total of 23 of us, ranging from 8 years old to mid 70's, were lucky enough to have been royally entertained. I am now basking in the glory of being a proud mum of one of the performers. However, as the other reviews confirm I am not biased just truthful when I say that this show was truly amazing from start to finish. Every element of the production came together beautifully and we can't wait to see next years show. FDS is a local society punching well above its weight in every department. Well done all.

Saturday matinée "A fabulous show, colourful and witty, something for all ages."
The performance was absolutely fabulous, just the right length. Very colourful costumes. I thought it was very funny, the right amount of wit for all ages to enjoy. The music was very upbeat and I felt I had to sing along! I thought all the actors were brilliant and I could hear all that was being said. I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and will definitely book again for another show (and next years panto!) and recommend to friends. A big well done to all involved in getting the performance on the stage!
My only bit of feedback would be the seating. The chairs were far too close together, and as they were laid out directly behind one another, it was difficult to look though the gaps. It was a shame I was in row 7 (of 10) with a little girl that couldn't see. We did arrive 30 mins before the start. Sadly the 6 rows in front were mostly adults (only 4 children). I do appreciate that people are probably family members of the actors and want a good view……..but I feel as this is a panto, there should be some priority for children.

Extremely professional with fabulous and enthusiastic acting and spot on singing of what weren’t the easiest songs. The enjoyment of those on stage was infectious and had the whole audience laughing and participating.

This was another incredible show by Faringdon Dramatic Society. The talent oozed out of each and every cast member and they had a great connection to the audience. It was lovely to see some familiar faces that I recognised from previous panto’s. The costumes and make up were of a high standard, especially the fairies (good and bad) and the rats. The musicians were second to none. An absolute triumph… I can’t wait for next year!
