Adapted from the 1908 children’s classic by Kenneth Grahame. Mole thought his happiness was complete when, as he meandered aimlessly along, suddenly he stood by the edge of a full-fed river. Never in his life had he seen a river before. Mole’s rebellion against working class regime (spring cleaning) and his journey to social maturity, Rat’s kindly initiation of Mole to the ways of the river, and the Rat’s inner conflict all provide added spice to the comedy. The Wild Wooders are given on-going villains’ roles to keep the story tense and exciting.
