Septimus Tomb, an extremely eccentric millionaire and recluse, has died, leaving his vast fortune to a number of beneficiaries, including a novelist. After the reading of the will, by the family solicitor, the legacies lead to a hilarious sequence of mysteries and mayhem.
The action of the play takes place in the Library of Monument House. Time – the present.
