Charitable Activities & Support

Through pantomimes, plays and community performances, Faringdon Dramatic Society have proudly raised vital funds to support other charities and to promote the advancement and improvement of general education in relation to all aspects of the art of drama and musical theatrical performance for all in the local community. Every ticket sold, raffle prize donated and round of applause helps us give back.

Donations to Charities

‘Much Ado About Nothing’, performed in the grounds of Sudbury House raised £1416.47 for the British Heart Foundation.

Promoting Drama Education in the Community

A workshops on ‘Oliver’ for junior school children involving some half a dozen sessions and about 30 children aged from 8-13.

Sponsorships

As a charitable organisation we can provide grants to local individuals or groups participating in amateur drama and related performing arts and further education relating to drama, theatre and related performing arts.

Whenever possible, the Faringdon Community Bus is hired for first-night performances at our out-of-town venues for those unable to make their own way there.
